VorSpill is a party game played on a TV with phones as controllers. You can play as a guest, or sign in to keep your name, level and stats. This page says what we store, why, and how to see or delete it.
VorSpill is for adults (18+). Drink responsibly — every game can be played with water.
Playing as a guest
We don't store anything about guests. The name and emoji you pick are kept on our server only while the party is going, and your browser remembers them so you can rejoin if your phone goes to sleep.
If you sign in
When you sign in with Google or with a code sent by email, we store:
- Your login: your email address and an account id. With Google we also get your name, of which we use your first name as your starting display name.
- Your profile: display name, emoji, preferred colour, XP and level, and which VorSpill mails you want.
- Your results: for each round you play while signed in: the game, your place, how many played, your points, the sips you got, the XP you earned, the party code and the time.
- Parties: when a party's first game starts we note the party code, how many play, how many are signed in, and which signed-in player unlocked the games.
We use this to show your profile, levels and stats, and to know how many parties and players there are, so we can keep VorSpill running. We don't sell your data, show ads or track you on other sites.
Mail from VorSpill
We only mail you if you turn it on yourself on your profile page: the Friday newsletter (the week's news, game tips and a weekend challenge) and/or a short mail when a new version goes live. Both are off until you switch them on. Every mail has a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can switch them off on your profile page at any time. Apart from these and your sign-in codes we never mail you, and we never share your address.
Where it is kept
- Supabase (database and sign-in), in the EU (Ireland).
- Hetzner (our game server), where the parties run.
- Google, only if you choose to sign in with Google.
- Resend, which delivers the mails you asked for (it gets your email address, your display name and the mail).
We use no tracking cookies. Your browser stores your sign-in and the party you're in, so you stay signed in and can rejoin.
Your data, your choice
- See and change your profile, and see your stats, on your profile page.
- Download everything we have about you there (Download my data).
- Delete your account there (Delete my account). It is deleted at once: your login, profile and all your results.
If you have questions, or want something corrected that you can't change yourself, email aksellaug@gmail.com.
